I can't believe I haven't blogged in over a month!! So much has changed with my lil man...finally out of newborn clothes (for most items), learning to smile and hold his head, cooing, and even has learned how to grab my finger to stick in his mouth. Sleeping less and less everyday (joy), no day is ever the same.
As for eating goes...he loves it. More than I would probably like him to actually. Feeding about every hour to two hours during the day and at least every four at night is pretty hard. He is growing like a weed and I don't even notice it until I look at pictures.
On his bad days, it can be pretty hard to find the happy place in my mind. And then I think about how Liam has started to wake up before me for the day, then I wake up to him cooing and looking at me through the mesh of the side of his pack n play with a smile on his face. Or when he wants me to just hold him and talk to him with his big blue eyes. Yes, he is my happy place and my world.

Finally
Wow...can't believe I haven't posted since the 14th!!! Not like I haven't been doing anything since then except spending time with Mike, having a baby, trying to get some sleep, and taking lots of pictures!!
Liam is so adorable!! He is a week old today and I already can't imagine my life without him. The doctor doesn't want us to hold him while he is sleeping (which makes for a very sad momma!) so a lot of the time I just watch him sleep. I love his expressions when he is dreaming and the squeeking sounds he makes. Let's just say I am in love with being a mom!!!

Another breakdown, Ark Valley Fair, and a yoga ball
Went back to the doctor on Wednesday, hoping for him to tell me he would induce me today. Of course, he tells me the baby still hasn't dropped and if he induces me now there is a 70% chance of c-section and he is off this weekend, so I would have to have his partner deliver. Not a big deal since I haven't had a complicated pregnancy, but I would still be more comfortable with him. So he scheduled to induce me on the 18th. Let's just say I have been trying everything to get this baby to come out. Except the castor oil because that is just disgusting!!!
A girl my mom went to high school with just helped her nephew's girlfriend through her pregnancy and now with the baby. She actually sent money to my mom so that I could get a yoga ball to sit and bounce on to help get the baby moving. After a half hour yesterday afternoon, and an hour last night, my legs are pretty sore today and the baby hasn't dropped. UGH....
It is also the Ark Valley Fair this weekend in Rocky Ford. Tuesday night I went over with mom and dad to enter stuff for judging. I would post pics of the ribbons won if my card reader hadn't have died. Hopefully soon tho! On Wednesday night, mom and I went over to find out the prizes and dad met us there to walk around and eat dinner. Gotta love the fair food (even though most of it makes me sick!!) And last night I went again with mom for walking and dinner.
Plans for today?? Bouncing this afternoon, Fair tonight with Polly, and probably more bouncing before Mike gets home from work tonight. I know it is Friday the 13th, but the little one can come out and play now. I don't mind!!! :O)

Another day down...
...another day to go. That is the way I have to look at things right now. Since my appointment on Friday and my minor (well not so minor) break down, I just have to think of what I can do today to keep myself busy. This weekend was all about trying to clean and actually completely do laundry. I still have about 4 loads to do but that number sounds good compared to the twelve I had on my list last week!! And last night I was about to put some finishing touches on Liam's room and clean the laundry room (big pet peeve of mine considering what my dad tells me).
I have also been doing a lot of checking online to see what helps naturally induce labor. Spicy food doesn't work for me because I always eat it anyway, and the pelvic tilts hurt my back so I can't do many of those. Bot I REFUSE to take a shot of castor oil!!! Especially since the side effects if the baby isn't ready to come out are cramping (which I have enough of in my back) and diarrhea....hmmm not so pleasant sounding this far along!!
Tonight is my usual taco night at mom and dad's house. Always a good meal!!! And also blocking afghans for the fair. Yes, I have to enter things tomorrow night because I am lazy and not getting up at 7 am on Wednesday, and I am not even sure what all I am going to enter. hmmmmm....
All I can say now is that this baby needs to come out already!!! Hopefully good news on Wednesday since I didn't get any on Friday. I could really use some good right now...

Gotta love life
Well, after dealing with some very much unneeded drama from a couple of "friends", I finally feel like I can start focusing on my family again. Today was a very stressful day today, so I didn't stay home much at all. I ended up getting a haircut from a good friend that I can just laugh with, going to my parents for dinner (including some not so wanted indigestion) and a nap, than going to Village Inn to spend some time with my close friend Polly before coming home.
After today, I realize the people that are special to me. The ones that can make me laugh no matter how angry or sad I am, and the ones that always have my family's back no matter the situation. Love to all of you!!
Heading to bed now to get some sleep before heading to the pool in a few hours. Another doctor appointment tomorrow afternoon....hopefully some good news!!! Like, having a baby this weekend...hopefully!!

Laundry, cantaloupe and a phone call
After sending Mike off to work, I started laundry like planned. So far, four loads are done. YAY!
Shortly after Mike left, Dad brought me a cantaloupe that a customer gave to him. This is so exciting!! None of the markets in the area have been able to put out their melons yet because of the rain and hail we have received this summer. I live 10 minutes from the melon capital of the states, Rocky Ford. For all of you who buy Walmart cantaloupe and enjoy it, you have no idea what you are missing!!! Even though I am allergic to this fruit (gives me sores in my mouth), it is the highlight of every summer for me. And it is something that I have been wanting throughout this pregnancy!! I love my dad! He could have just taken the cantaloupe home, but instead brought it to me!!

After cutting up the delicious, yet painful, cantaloupe, I received a phone call from my best friend Devin. She currently lives in upstate New York, so we don't get to talk as often as either of us would like. Tonight was perfect though. Her husband got stuck with the late shift for his unit in the Army and her daughter, Krissy, was making us both laugh. I definately needed that! I can't wait for November to get here when the two of them will be here for at least a month!!!
Oh! Before I forget again (darn baby brain!) I had a dream last night that I was walking around Walmart when my water broke!! I then decided that tonight, when Mike gets home, we will be going to Walmart to walk. HAHA 16 days until my due date, but tonight would be okay with me!!!
Trying to find the energy...
Lately I have had a lot of trouble finding the energy to get things done before Liam gets here (which could be any day now). Last night I was able to get his Toy Story toy organizer put together, and this afternoon I put together his dresser. After that my back was a little sore and then I look around and see ten more things on my list to do. Very frustrating!! It doesn't help with the fact that my back hurts so bad lately. Between the muscle spasms still from straining it last year, to the braxton hicks contractions in my back, there have been a lot of days in the last couple of months where I am only able to get out of bed for 10 minutes at a time. Now I have so much to get done with literally no time. Yes, I am definately ready to have this baby out of me!!!
Tomorrow I am dedicating to getting the laundry that I have been seriously neglecting done completely. Or at least as much as possible. Pretty sure that is about 12 to 14 loads though. Wish I had two washers and dryers to get it all done in one day! Maybe I will load up a couple baskets and take them to my parents house since they have a front load washer and dryer. So much more fits in those!!!
I also need to get baby laundry soap so that I can wash at least the sleepers for the hospital and his take home outfit. As long as Liam comes out a boy like he is supposed to, I can wash everything else. If not, then Walmart is going to see me with a lot of refunds!!!

Wow...
Hello everyone! Although I am sure I have no followers yet, this is my first blog post....EVER! I really started this blog to help keep stay on top of keeping track of my new family. I am currently pregnant with only 2 and a half weeks left until Liam Keith is here. Although, it wouldn't bother me one bit if he came a little early!
Mike and I can't wait for him to be here already! Most of the time, he is very nice to his mom, except when dad is home from work. Then he won't let me go to sleep! I am very excited to be able to keep track of everything on here and keep everyone up to date!!
