Laundry, cantaloupe and a phone call

After sending Mike off to work, I started laundry like planned. So far, four loads are done. YAY!

Shortly after Mike left, Dad brought me a cantaloupe that a customer gave to him. This is so exciting!! None of the markets in the area have been able to put out their melons yet because of the rain and hail we have received this summer. I live 10 minutes from the melon capital of the states, Rocky Ford. For all of you who buy Walmart cantaloupe and enjoy it, you have no idea what you are missing!!! Even though I am allergic to this fruit (gives me sores in my mouth), it is the highlight of every summer for me. And it is something that I have been wanting throughout this pregnancy!! I love my dad! He could have just taken the cantaloupe home, but instead brought it to me!!

After cutting up the delicious, yet painful, cantaloupe, I received a phone call from my best friend Devin. She currently lives in upstate New York, so we don't get to talk as often as either of us would like. Tonight was perfect though. Her husband got stuck with the late shift for his unit in the Army and her daughter, Krissy, was making us both laugh. I definately needed that! I can't wait for November to get here when the two of them will be here for at least a month!!!

Oh! Before I forget again (darn baby brain!) I had a dream last night that I was walking around Walmart when my water broke!! I then decided that tonight, when Mike gets home, we will be going to Walmart to walk. HAHA 16 days until my due date, but tonight would be okay with me!!!

Trying to find the energy...

Lately I have had a lot of trouble finding the energy to get things done before Liam gets here (which could be any day now). Last night I was able to get his Toy Story toy organizer put together, and this afternoon I put together his dresser. After that my back was a little sore and then I look around and see ten more things on my list to do. Very frustrating!! It doesn't help with the fact that my back hurts so bad lately. Between the muscle spasms still from straining it last year, to the braxton hicks contractions in my back, there have been a lot of days in the last couple of months where I am only able to get out of bed for 10 minutes at a time. Now I have so much to get done with literally no time. Yes, I am definately ready to have this baby out of me!!!

Tomorrow I am dedicating to getting the laundry that I have been seriously neglecting done completely. Or at least as much as possible. Pretty sure that is about 12 to 14 loads though. Wish I had two washers and dryers to get it all done in one day! Maybe I will load up a couple baskets and take them to my parents house since they have a front load washer and dryer. So much more fits in those!!!

I also need to get baby laundry soap so that I can wash at least the sleepers for the hospital and his take home outfit. As long as Liam comes out a boy like he is supposed to, I can wash everything else. If not, then Walmart is going to see me with a lot of refunds!!!

Wow...

Hello everyone! Although I am sure I have no followers yet, this is my first blog post....EVER! I really started this blog to help keep stay on top of keeping track of my new family. I am currently pregnant with only 2 and a half weeks left until Liam Keith is here. Although, it wouldn't bother me one bit if he came a little early!

Mike and I can't wait for him to be here already! Most of the time, he is very nice to his mom, except when dad is home from work. Then he won't let me go to sleep! I am very excited to be able to keep track of everything on here and keep everyone up to date!!
